Our traditional cottage is situated at the foothill of the Asterousia Mountains south Heraklion , offering an astonishing view of the Messara Valley.This peaceful location can become your springboard for exploring historical sites and places of unique beauty in the area. You can choose between hopping off on a few minutes’ drive to the world famous archaeological site of Phaistos (22 Km) and Gortyna (12 km) or enjoying the wonderful golden-sand beaches of Tripiti (12 km), Matala (30 km), Lentas (20 km), and Kalamaki (33 km).
International airport “Nikos Kazantzakis” in Heraklion is 62 km away.
In Stavies you will get to know the renowned Cretan hospitalityand the local traditions. Many local events are held throughout the year. It is fully equipped with all the essential appliances and more, such us a TV, a fridge, an electric cooker, an iron, a toaster, a coffee maker, a juicer, a kettle, a clothes washing machine, a hair dryer, baby crib and high chair. The amenities also include a WC with a shower and parking space. We also offer a bottle of wine and a bottle of extra virgin olive oil of our family production.
A car is necessary in order to explore the area because there is no local bus service between the local villages but only from and to the main cities.
