Positive: The location of the house is right in the center of the port town though there are some steep steps to reach the house, but not as many as we were afraid of, but we had little luggage. There is no access with a car and it is not in the negative as we were aware of it. The house is very charming indeed. It has two floors: ground floor with two separate entrances to two separate bedrooms with own bathrooms. The bedrooms lead to the third small room on the ground floor where there are stairs (very narrow) to the upper floor where you find a big fully equipped kitchen and the living room as an open space, from there there are two terraces (one smaller and one enormous with a great view over the port and the sea). The smaller terrace with a small table was perfect for breakfast for 4 persons as it has the shade in the morning. The other terrace had bigger table and lots of (soft) seating and without direct sun in the afternoon which was perfect for afternoon/evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped and has all the amenities including microwave, coffee machines (different ones, but no Nespresso which is fine, we used mokka), stove, oven, toaster, boiler, etc. cutlery, glasses, pans, everything anyone would need, including a big and spacious fridge. The two en-suite bathrooms were brand new and very spacious. one also had a washing machine that was were convenient. There is plenty of towels and bed sheets to change during the stay. The communication with the owner was good before the arrival and we met Mona upon the arrival who showed us the house and handed the keys. We also appreciated cold water in the fridge and some fruit! The checkout time was flexible and upon request we left the house a couple of hours later than required for our ferry back.

Negative: As the house is old though in pretty good condition, it was natural that there was a lot of dust from the walls. As there is no AC (which is fine and described in the property info) we kept the windows open and with the breeze it was fine, though the wind from outside brought in even more dust. There were two fans and one on the ceiling that was not working. Overall it makes an impression that the house is not clean/dusty all the time and we had to clean it by ourselves regularly which was not very convenient. We did not find any shampoo or shower gel upon arrival despite we requested this to be clarified before the arrival as well as the toilet paper was very limited, so we had to go to the supermarket again as we did not check it before we left for grocery shopping. Unfortunately, Mona could not explain us where we could find the anti-mosquitos devices so we had to purchase several to be used during our stay and then we found them later - we could avoid this waste should we have found them before. Overall, we had to spend notable cash for some little things (not food) that normally expected to find in the house. The mattresses were on the harder side and the beds are shorter than we are used to. As it is a house on an island, I guess it is normal, but there were way too many various insects entering the house and one of use was very upset (phobic) about that. While the house was very nice with excellent view, very spacious and in a good location, overall we would not be opting for this next time.
