Situated at the foot of the famous Fortezza Castle, reminiscent of village life yet steps away from the bustle and activities of the Old Town. Quaint coffee shops (kafenion), eating places (tavernas) are aplenty and supermarket, car rental, central bus, beach only minutes away! The house can accommodate 5 people, but 4 are recommended for more comfort. There are 2 single beds in the first bedroom, a double bed in the master bedroom, and in the sitting area a fold out sofa bed. There is plenty of cupboard space in the bedrooms and the house is generally spacious. Fast and Free wi-fi is available too. The house in fact is so lovely cool in our hot summer that one hardly needs the use of a fan. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook meals with all electrical appliances at hand. Washing machine, hairdryer and iron for your use too and also a working desk in the bedroom. Enjoy breakfast/dinner or a glass of wine on the patio in the private garden. There is a table big enough to accommodate meals. The bathroom - like most old houses in Rethimnon - is situated directly outside the back door leading to the garden. There is a small library in the hall with various novels and books, magazines to read as well as the traditional board game so popular in Greece - Backgammon. You will also find extra information and brochures concerning trips, car hire etc. Listen to the churchbells chime in the evenings and experience what it is like to live in the Old Town like a local. Overall a cozy home and in a unique setting like none other!
