Beach house with large garden by the sea, 10 km from the town of Volos. Located in a small bay with little current, traffic and tourism. Ideal for children. Jump into the water from the garden. Ideal to relax. A little paradise.
Shops can be found in Nea Anchialos (5 km) or in Alykes (5 km). The nearest big city is Volos (10 km).
The house has:
a) a studio (stone house, newly built) for up to 3 people with bathroom, kitchen and garden
b) an apartment with 2 rooms for up to 4 people with bathroom, kitchen and covered terrace with deck chairs
c) a large apartment on the ground floor with a closed bedroom and 2 further double beds in the fireplace and living area. In addition, a large kitchen with dishwasher, bathroom with washing machine and balcony
d) a family floor with 4 double rooms with 2 bathrooms and a large balcony with sea view without kitchen but refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine.
On request you can get breakfast and dinner with fresh fish or other Greek specialties.
Bed linen and towels are provided and are changed in the weekly cleaning. Daily cleaning is also possible. A deposit will be charged on arrival, which will be paid out on departure.

Summary: The location of this house is incredible - literally steps away from the beach. There are a number of options for accommodation including double rooms or apartments. We spent a week in the studio apartment which was perfect; clean, comfortable and well equipped. We had an outside patio area and use of a barbecue. The property has a lovely large garden with lots of seating/lounging areas along with a hot tub. There's also a very well equipped professional standard communal kitchen which people staying the in rooms can use. Emmanuel is a lovely host who is knowledgeable and helpful but without being imposing. He's very generous with his wonderful espresso coffees and offer of lifts to town/supermarkets etc. The beach is small but was empty during the week. At weekends it was busier with locals. But nowhere near the overcrowding of Halkidiki! Even when it was busier a short walk to the other side of the village brings more beaches which were often empty. There are two bar/tavernas very close to the house which offer good simple Greek food and drinks. All with genuine hospitality and excellent prices. The water is warm and safe for swimming and a good option for families. There's at least one lifeguard on duty during the season. Agios Stephanos is a short drive away and offers more facilities but again is a predominantly Greek resort. It has a couple of supermarkets and other shops and a wide range of bars and restaurants. Including excellent fish restaurants but not at inflated tourist prices. There's lots to do and see in the area. We have spent lots of time in Greece and I can't recommend this property and the location enough. It's a real alternative to the overcrowded resorts and easy to get to from Thessaloniki (frequent buses to Vollos) and a really genuine and relaxing experience.
