Summary: We have been in this house for 9 days in August, the house is really nice, clean and with a large and well-equipped kitchen. At the arrival we found also a welcome basket from the owner with fruits and local products, a very nice gesture for us. The swimming pool is gorgeous, with crystal water, a real plus for this villa, the maintenance came at the beginning of our stay to check it and clean it. At night is also illuminated, making the garden looking very nice. Georges, the owner, and Olga, the local house-manager, were very helpful to solve a few minor requests we had during our stay. The house has also a garage for the car, which is a very good advantage in Crete, you do not have to worry about where to park and your car is always covered from the burning summer sun. The house has three bedrooms, two on the first floor and one in the ground floor, the air conditioners are covering very well two of them with limited effect on the second one of the first floor. This room, facing to the south terrace of the house, has also limited Wifi coverage. These are the only points worth of improvement that we can report. The living room, with the kitchen, is spacious and well furnished (two sofa) and leaves a lot of space for the people living the villa. There is also a patio in front of the entrance for you to enjoy the fresh breeze at night. The only “problem” we had here was with two cats (we called them Tommy and Neige) that were continuously coming-in every time we forgot the door open. But if you like cats, is this a problem??? Location is also good, little away from the main road and close to Kolymvari with nice beaches and Kissamos, for easy access to the Balos peninsula by car or boat. In this part of the island often the restaurants or bars on the seaside also have their own space on the beach, with sun-umbrellas and beach loungers, if you are lazy to carry your own beach equipment, you can use their service at a reasonable price. The city of Chania is about 40 min away and really worth a visit, as well as Platanias, about 20 min only and very lively at night, if you like to do some shopping, go for dinner or a drink or just stroll along the way. Summing up, we’ll surely come back to this house in case we decide to visit Crete Island again, thank you so much to Georges and Olga for making our holidays enjoyable and relaxing!
