There are three villages on Meganisi, Spartochori, Katomeri & Vathi all served by their own ports, Port Spiglia, Port Atheni (Atherinos) & Port Vathi. Regular ferry services serve the island to & from Nidri, Lefkada. Travel to Meganisi by air, charter flights operate from most European countries during the summer season to Aktion, Preveza and transfers to Nidri by Taxi or Coach. Out of season very low cost flights to Athens are operated by Easy Jet, Ryan Air & Agean Air who also fly to Aktion. Coach transfer to Lefkada from Athens is now a very simple pleasant trip taking in sights of Corinth, Patras, crossing the Gulf of Corinth by the famous Rio Suspension Bridge, it stops for coffee break after 2 hours so it adds to the travel pleasure to Lefkada.
