Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The villa is very beautiful, just like in the pictures. Rooms and beds were comfortable. We were there when it was very very hot outside and temperatures in the house were fine, however if we wanted to cool down more we could use AC installed in the bedrooms. The pool and barbecue area was amazing, our kids loved to play outisde while we barbecued. The hosts were very nice. They welcomed us with a bowl of fresh fruit and some beverages. The kitchen was equipped with necessary devices and seasonings. Overally, we are really pleased with spending our vacation there.

Negative: The villa was great to stay in for vacation, however, there are some drawbacks we had to face. First, there was an issue with water supply. We were told that there was a malfunction in the village, and that maybe we wouldn't have water until Monday (and it was Saturday). It was very hot outside and it seemed like a nightmare, so we asked our host to come up with a solution, and they organised to have the tank in the villa be filled with water fortunately. But I fear that if we weren't pushy, we would not get water until Monday. Secondly, mosquito nets in the windows were damaged, hence we had to suffer from mosquito bites in the night. Also, what is a little flaw is that the washing machine was in a completely different part of the villa, with a seperate entrance, and it was tiring having to go down there to do the laundry. Lastly, there were two times when the host had to come to the villa with third persons - to fix the AC in one of the bedrooms and to "fix" the bathtub. Both were damaged when we got there. We agreed as we kinda didn't have much choice if we wanted these things to work, but we'd rather have everything working fine before out stay.

Summary: Beautiful villa in an amazing Cretan village - perfect for families or a group of friends.
