The house took its name from the local herb Dittany or Dictamos or Erondas as it's called on the local dialect. The herb is used as a pain relief, especially of stomach aches and arthritis. It has been known for centuries and was used by the Minoans and ancient Greeks and Hippocrates taught its therapeutic benefits.
The house is located on a 2500sqm plot, surrounded by a garden full of flowers. At the back of the house there is a fruit, herbs and vegetable garden as well as a traditional wood oven.
