There are four bedrooms, and three bathrooms, over three levels. The ground level has an open plan kitchen, dining and living room leading out onto the large private pool (with natural salt chlorination and uninterrupted views) and terraced area. The pool area has a large patio with two large pergolas for dining and relaxing, as well as a stone built barbecue.
From the ground level staircases lead upstairs and down stairs to the bedrooms. Upstairs there is a large double bedroom featuring a picture window with stunning sea views, a private terrace for relaxing and an en-suite bathroom. Downstairs are three further bedrooms one king and two twin all with French doors leading out onto the lower level patio and gardens.
The gardens are landscaped over several levels with olive and fig trees, bougainvillea and aromatic shrubs. A private pathway or "monopati" leads 100 metres past a small church to the sea, and Vourkari with its yachts, tavernas, cafés and boutiques.
The view is stunning from every place, and hours can be idled away watching yachts and fishermen's boats in the natural marina below, and the odd tanker in the Aegean sea beyond. As night falls, the sunset is truly spectacular. Switch off the garden lights and outdoor music and count shooting stars to the sound of cicadas. The odd flash of St Nikolaos' lighthouse perfects the scene.
The island has great beaches which can be reached on foot and by car, the closest to Villa Faros being Gialiskari which is a 10 minute walk.
